Zipline Marketing ("Zipline", "we", "us" or "our") is a video advertising agency operating as a sole trader in Victoria, Australia (ABN 92 573 429 516). We work with businesses across Australia and New Zealand.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where we handle information about people in New Zealand, we also have regard to the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).

By using our website (ziplinemarketing.com.au), booking a call, submitting a form or working with us, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. What we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact details: your name, business name, role, email address, phone number and postal or business address.

• Business information: details about your business, services, target customers, marketing goals, budgets and current advertising, usually shared through our application forms and strategy calls.

• Call and meeting records: notes, recordings and transcripts of strategy sessions, onboarding calls and project meetings, where you have been told the call is being recorded.

• Project content: footage, photos, voice, likeness, logos, brand assets and other material captured or supplied during a video production engagement.

• Advertising account access: where you appoint us to run paid media, we access your Meta Business Manager, ad accounts, pixels and related data on your behalf.

• Payment details: billing name, address and invoice history. Card payments are processed by third-party payment providers, and we do not store full card numbers.

• Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring URLs and interactions with our site and ads, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you fill out a form on our website or a booking page, book a strategy session, email, call or message us (including via WhatsApp), sign a proposal or take part in a shoot. We may also collect it from publicly available sources such as your website or social media profiles, from advertising platforms such as Meta, and from analytics and tracking tools on our website.

3. Why we use it

We use personal information to:

• Respond to enquiries, assess applications and book and run strategy sessions.

• Plan, script, shoot, edit and deliver video ad campaigns and related services.

• Set up and manage paid advertising campaigns on your behalf.

• Issue quotes and invoices, process payments and keep business records.

• Send you updates, results, offers and content we think will be useful to your business.

• Measure and improve our website, advertising and services.

• Comply with our legal and tax obligations.

4. Cookies, pixels and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and tracking from our booking and video hosting tools. These help us understand how people use our site, measure the performance of our advertising and show relevant ads to people who have visited our site or engaged with our content on Meta platforms.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage the ads you see from Meta through your Meta ad preferences. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of our website work.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where needed to run our business and deliver our services, including with:

• Our team members and contractors (for example cinematographers, editors and media buyers) who work on your project under confidentiality obligations.

• Service providers we use to operate, such as our CRM and booking tools, email and messaging platforms, cloud storage, video hosting, website hosting, accounting software and payment processors.

• Advertising platforms such as Meta and Google, where we run campaigns on your behalf or measure our own advertising.

• Professional advisers such as accountants, lawyers and insurers.

• Government agencies, regulators or law enforcement where required by law.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers we use store or process data outside Australia, including in New Zealand, the United States and other countries where cloud services are hosted. Our team also works between Australia and New Zealand. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Marketing communications

If you enquire with us, book a call or become a client, we may send you emails, SMS or messages about our services, results, offers and content that we think is relevant to your business. We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 (NZ). You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email, replying STOP to an SMS, or contacting us using the details below.

8. Storage and security

We store personal information in secure, access-controlled cloud systems and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes password protection, multi-factor authentication and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to deliver our services, maintain business and tax records, or as required by law. Raw footage and project files may be retained after a project is delivered so that we can provide re-edits or support if requested. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or out of date, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. In some cases we may need to keep certain information to meet our legal obligations, and we will tell you if that applies.

10. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to the people involved, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it quickly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or, for New Zealand residents, with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date it was last updated.
